About Us

Noonkera is a Community Based Organization (CBO) aimed at addressing the plight of the pastoralist girls in danger of hostile and harmful traditional cultural practices.

  • We work to fight illiteracy, child marriage and elevated school dropout rates by offering education, mentorship and counselling services to the children in need.
  • Our projects focus on the promotion/support of the girl’s welfare especially those from destitute background, victims of FGM, HIV/AIDS and child marriage.

Mission

To provide quality education and life skills to the vulnerable girl child and to equip them with socio-economic skills that will help facilitate an invested future for each individual.​

Vision

A society in which the girl is educated and empowered enough to make her own choices in regards to her personal, financial, economic and political status.

  • ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
  • There are 3 co- opted members from the board who provide technical guidance.
  • A General Meeting is held annually during which the leaders are elected.
  • The audited financial report is submitted and reviewed by the board.
  • All activities of the organization are reported and discussed by the board.
