Facilitating girls education and livelihood skills

The girl child’s education is one of the most effective ways for ending poverty in developing nations. Education benefits the individuals, their families, community and society

Counselling, mentoring and guidance

We work with women and mothers of the community to provide counselling and guidance to girls in need. The mentoring sessions also aim to equip girls with skills to help them navigate life, school and career.

Organizing Alternative Rites of Passage Ceremonies

ARP is an initation practice that is performed for girls as an alternative to Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). Every year an ARP passage takes place in the village of Komolion, located in region of Pokot.

The Organization is guided by the following

Guidelines
  • Proper vetting of scholarship recipients will be done to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the education programme
  • Target Group- the girl child and empowering the woman within the community
  • Gender sensitivity by addressing gender issues in a culturally appropriate context
  • Participatory involvement the community
  • Partnership by working with relevant ministries, the local communities and value adding partners
  • Mentorship through role modelling
